OrderIQ

Built by someone who has lived this workflow

OrderIQ was founded by a practicing radiologist who spent nearly two decades watching the same bottlenecks slow down patient care — and decided to do something about it.

Clinical Foundation

As a diagnostic and interventional radiologist practicing at both academic and community centres, I have reviewed thousands of requisitions across every modality. I know what information matters, what gets missed, and where the workflows breaks down.

Healthcare IT Expertise

Experience implementing and optimizing RIS/PACS at University Health Network — Canada's largest academic hospital. I understand what it takes to deploy clinical software in a real hospital environment, and what it means when a system doesn't match the way clinicians actually work.

AI & Machine Learning

Multiple courses in AI development and operations. Yale University's AI in Healthcare program certificate. Experience developing AI applications and working with AI startups. OrderIQ is the convergence of clinical knowledge, systems experience, and modern AI — applied to a problem I have watched go unsolved for nearly two decades.

Why OrderIQ

The problem was always the same

Every requisition that enters a radiology department needs two questions answered before anything else can happen: Does this patient need contrast? And how urgent is this? Without those answers, you can't book the right slot, at the right site, with the right preparation.

For decades, answering those questions has required trained clinical staff to read every requisition individually. At low volumes, that's manageable. But as referral volumes grow, as central intake programs expand across regions, and as paper requisitions continue to pour in alongside electronic orders — the human bottleneck becomes the limiting factor.

OrderIQ was built to remove that bottleneck — not by removing the human, but by ensuring the human is reviewing a pre-populated answer rather than starting from scratch. The AI does the repetitive pattern-matching. The radiologist or trained reviewer does the oversight. The result is faster, more consistent, and fully auditable.

We built OrderIQ specifically for the Canadian healthcare environment — PHIPA compliance, WTIS priority scoring, on-premise deployment, and clinical workflows that match how Canadian radiology departments actually operate.

Our Principles

How we think about this problem

Clinical credibility first

Every protocol rule, every priority score, every AI decision is grounded in published Canadian guidelines and validated against real clinical data. We don't guess.

Human oversight is non-negotiable

AI accelerates the workflow. Humans approve it. Every AI recommendation is visible, explainable, and overridable. The radiologist is always in the loop.

Adapt to the hospital, not the other way around

OrderIQ plugs into existing systems via FHIR and HL7v2. No rip-and-replace. No six-month integration project. Your teams keep working the way they work.

Privacy is foundational, not bolted on

Patient data never has to leave your network. Full audit logging, encryption at rest, role-based access control, and PHIPA-ready architecture from day one.
